Royals win, Saints lose in soccer district semifinals

Landon Lake had a hat trick and Noah Gardner had a goal and an assist to lead the Mason County Royals to a 4-0 victory over the Pendleton County Wildcats in the semifinals of the 38th District Tournament on Tuesday night at Mason County.

Keagan Taylor also had an assist and goal keeper Cade Pugh had eight saves in recording his seventh shutout of the season.

Mason County (10-5-1) will play the Harrison County Thorobreds in the championship game on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Harrison County defeated St. Patrick 9-1 in the other semifinal game.

St. Patrick ends the season with a 2-10 record.
