The Mason County Royals football team has participated in three 7-on-7 events as part of its preseason workouts.
The Royals traveled to Simon Kenton, Western Brown and Eastern Kentucky University to compete in 7-on-7s while practices were restricted to helmets only.
Monday was the first day teams were allowed to practice in helmets and shoulder pads.
August 1 is the first day for practice in full gear.
Mason County will open the season on August 23 at home vs. the Russell Red Devils.
