Harrison County and Campbell County win semifinal games in 10th Region Tournament

Kaydon Custard poured in 34 points to lead the Harrison County Thorobreds to a 65-51 win over the Mason County Royals and Broc Sorgenfrei scored 24 points to lead the Campbell County Camels to a 75-62 victory over the George Rogers Clark Cardinals in the semifinals of the 10th Region Tournament at The Fieldhouse on Monday night.

Custard was 12-of-21 from the field and 8-of-11 from the free throw line and finished with nine rebounds. Elijah Harris added 17 points for the Thorobreds (17-14) who advanced to the finals for the first time since 1999.

Jake Feldhaus had a double-double for Mason County (21-12) with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Landon Scilley had 11 points and five rebounds. Braeden Myrick tossed in 10 points.

Harrison County outrebounded Mason County 37-21 and had a 14-4 advantage on second-chance points.

Campbell County (25-6) led 44-27 at halftime on their way to snapping GRC's 65-game winning streak vs. 10th Region opponents. The Cardinals were the four-time defending champions.

Garyn Jackson scored 23 points and Connor Weinel had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Camels who ran their winning streak to 11 games.

Rashaun Hampton and JP Gaines scored 20 points each for GRC. Gaines also grabbed nine rebounds. Gay added 12 points.

Feldhaus, Scilley, Hampton and Gaines were named to the All-Tournament Team.
