Several Mason County athletes qualify for state indoor track and field championships

Several Mason County athletes have qualified for the Class 2A Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Here is the list according to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Preliminary Performance Listing as of 6 p.m. Tuesday:

Girls

60 Meter Dash: Lexi Young and Kenzie Gulley; 200 Meter Dash: Lexi Young and Haven Hamilton; 400 Meter Dash: Sarah Payne and Ava Thompson; 800 Meter Run: Kolby Galloway; 3000 Meter Run: Lily Dean; 60 Meter Hurdles: Amirah Reed and Madison Howard; High Jump: Lexi Young and Ava Thompson; Long Jump: Lexi Young and Madison Howard; Triple Jump: Madison Howard and Brooklyn Young; Shot Put: Reese Hardeman and Makaylynn Crabtree; Pole Vault: Ava Thompson and Sarah Payne; 4x400 Meter Relay Team; 4x800 Meter Relay Team;

Boys

The Class 2A Championships are set for Saturday at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center in Louisville. Gates open for teams at 1:30 p.m. and for the public at 2 p.m.
