South Oldham junior guard Julian Miles made six 3-pointers and scored 44 points to lead the Dragons to an 82-65 win over the Mason County Royals on Saturday afternoon at The Fieldhouse.
Miles, who entered the game averaging 18.9 points per game, was 14-of-30 from the field and 10-of-12 from the free throw line. He scored 26 of South Oldham's 30 first-half points.
Braeden Myrick hit six 3-pointers and scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed six rebounds for Mason County. Braylon Hamilton had 13 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Jake Feldhaus contributed 10 points, seven rebounds and five blocks.
After trailing 7-2 early in the game, the Royals went on a 19-5 run to lead 21-12.
Mason County led 29-18 in the second quarter.
The Royals were up 38-30 at the half and 42-30 early in the third quarter, but trailed 53-51 after three quarters.
Mason County tied the score at 53-all in the opening minute of the fourth quarter, but was outscored 29-12 the rest of the way.
Miles and Myrick both made five of their six 3-pointers in the first half.
The Royals (15-10) will play the Paris Greyhounds in Paris on Monday night.
