Mason County senior pitcher and shortstop Landon Scilley will play in the New Balance Future Stars Main Event at Fenway Park in Boston this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The New Balance Future Stars Series is a global indentification and development program for baseball and softball players.
The Main Event, originally scheduled last week at Citi Field in New York City, features fifty-two of the best seniors in the country.
Scilley has verbally committed to Yale. He batted .404 with seven home runs and 26 RBI for the Royals last season. On the mound, he had a 7-1 record and posted a 0.99 ERA with 84 strikeouts and 12 walks across 49 and 1/3 innings in 13 games (seven starts).
Scilley also plays football and basketball at Mason County.
