The community is mourning the death of Coltin Claypoole

The community is mourning the death of Mason County High School student Coltin Claypoole.

Claypoole died in a single-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon.

He was a member of the Mason County football and wrestling teams.

Mason County High School will have grief counselors available next week (Monday-Friday) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The counseling is not limited to MCHS students and families. You may attend individually or with a group.

A tailgate party and cornhole tournament will be held before the Mason County vs. Newport Central Catholic football scrimmage next Friday with all proceeds going to the Claypoole family.

The hours for tailgate party and cornhole tournament will be from 5 to 7 p.m.
