The Kentucky High School Atheltic Association dead period begins Sunday and runs through July 9.
The dead period for high schools and middle schools provides a break for athletes and coaches.
Students cannot receive coaching or training from school personnel and school facilities, uniforms, nicknames, transportation or equipment cannot be used during the dead period.
The restrictions do not apply to post-season wrap-up activities, celebrations and recognition events for spring sports teams which participated in KHSAA state championship play this past season.
