Chris Lofton selected for Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2023

Chris Lofton is one of five individuals selected to the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

Lofton is the Mason County Royals' all-time leading scorer. He led Mason County to the 2003 state championship and a state runner-up finish in 2004. 

Lofton, who was also a standout football player at Mason County, won the 2004 Kentucky Mr. Basketball award, starred at the University of Tennessee and played professionally in the NBA G-League and in Europe.

Other members of the Class of 2023 include sports reporter and columnist Rich Bozich, former Kentucky High School Athletic Association commissioner Brigid Devries, University of Kentucky basketball and football play-by-play announcer Tom Leach and former University of Michigan and San Francisco 49ers star William "Bubba" Paris.

The Class of 2023 represents the 60th annivesary of the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame.

Each member of the Hall of Fame is recognized with a bronze plaque displayed at Freedom Hall in Louisville.
