Brian "Rabbit" Littleton is the new varsity girls' basketball coach at Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington High School.
Littleton succeeds Chris Coleman who accepted the RULH varsity boys' basketball coaching job after 14 seasons as the Lady Jays' head coach.
"I am honored and appreciative to be hired as the next Ripley Lady Jays basketball coach." Littleton said in a press release from the school. "My main goal as a coach is to invest and impact our young ladies lives in a positive matter and spark interest in girls' basketball in the Ripley community. I can't wait to get started."
Littleton is in his second season as the head varsity softball coach at Mason County High School.
He has coached the freshman girls' basketball team the past four years. He was the 7th and 8th grade girls' basketball coach for eight years, the girls' AAU youth basketball coach for many years and directed the Mason County boys' and girls' youth basketball programs for 14 years.
"I am confident Rabbit will do a great job as our varsity girls' basketball coach," RULH superintendent Jamie Wilkins said in the press release. "He has a tremendous coaching background and a high level of energy that made him the clear choice for this position. We are very pleased to welcome him to the Blue Jay family."
Littleton will be assisted at Ripley by Jimmie Campbell (junior varsity coach), Elaine Manning (voluntary high school assistant coach) and Niya Royal (junior high coach).
