Lady Royals go scoreless in the fourth quarter, lose to Lewis County 51-44

The Mason County Lady Royals led 44-33 in the third quarter, but did not score in the fourth quarter and lost to the Lewis County Lady Lions 51-44 on Thursday night in Vanceburg.

Mason County (8-14) shot 50 percent from the field in the first half and led 31-24 at halftime, but made just 5-of-20 shots in the second half.

Olivia Hughes led the Lady Royals in scoring with 10 points.

Sarah Weddington scored 21 points and Liv Campbell added 14 points for the Lady Lions.

Mason County will host Scott on Friday night.

Lewis County (16-7) plays at Raceland on Saturday.
