Mason County senior Elizabeth Lavinder signed today to continue her academic, cross country and track careers at Georgetown College.
Lavinder holds indoor track school records in the 1600 meter run and the two-mile run, and was a member of the 4x800 meter relay team that set the indoor school record.
Lavinder was a member of Mason County's state runner-up team in the 2022 KHSAA Class 2A Clark Pump-N-Shop State Track and Field Championships, the best finish in school history. She was eighth in the 3,200 meters.
Lavinder was member of Mason County's cross country region runner-up teams in 2017 and 2021 and the cross country region championship teams in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022. The Lady Royals have had five straight podium finishes at the state meet.
