After a brief break for Christmas, the local high school basketball teams return to the hardwood this week for more holiday tournament action.
The Mason County Lady Royals travel to Bowling Green for the Vanous Lloyd Christmas Tournament at Warren Central High School. The Lady Royals' opening round opponent is Christian County. That game is scheduled on Tuesday at 4 p.m. (CST).
The Mason County Royals are playing in the White, Greer & Maggard Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic and have an opening round showdown vs. district rival Bracken County on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.
The St. Patrick Saints will travel to Augusta on Wednesday night to play the Panthers before heading across the river for the Ripley Holiday Classic.
The St. Patrick girls' and boys' teams are both playing in the Ripley Holiday Classic. The Lady Saints will play Bethel-Tate on Thursday at 2 p.m. The Saints will take on the Ripley Blue Jays on Thursday at 5 p.m.
