Former coach David Buchanan will be grand marshal of the Mason County Homecoming Parade

Former Mason County football coach David Buchanan will be the grand marshal of the Mason County Homecoming Parade on September 29.

Buchanan is Mason County winningest football coach. He had a 150-72 record in 19 seasons as the Royals' coach.

Buchanan resigned in 2015 to become the head coach at Mercer County, his alma mater. He complied a 50-32 record in seven seasons before stepping down in January.

The Homecoming Parade will begin at 6 p.m. at the corner of East Second Street and Main Street, and end at the Mason County Health Department.
