The Mason County Royals finished in 15th place in the KHSAA State Archery Championships today in Bowling Green. It's the best finish in the history of the Mason County archery program.
The Royals, champions of Region 7, had a team score of 1,939, just seven points behind 14th place finisher Thomas Nelson.
Anderson County won the state championship with a team score of 1,989.
Mason County was led by sophomore Colton Kinney with a score of 284. He had 18 Tens.
