The Mason County Royals lost to the Greenup County Musketeers 5-0 in the Kentucky 2A Section 5 championship game tonight at Mason County.
Greenup County (10-4) scored two runs in the second inning. two in the third inning and one in the fourth inning. The Musketeers advance to the Kentucky 2A state tournament in Owensboro.
Mason County (4-9) is scheduled play the Lewis County Lions in Vanceburg Wednesday evening. The Royals' next home game is Friday evening vs. Campbell County.
