State basketball tournament pairings

First round pairings for the girls' and boys' state basketball tournaments were determined by draws conducted today by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.

The 10th Region champion will play the 13th Region champion on March 10 at 6 p.m. in the opening round of the Mingua Beef Jerky Girls' Sweet 16.

The 10th Region champion will play the 14th Region champion on March 16 at 6 p.m. in the UK HealthCare Boys' Sweet 16.

Both tournaments will be played at Rupp Arena. Here are the first round pairings with the top three teams in each region based on the RPI.
