Royals will play Trinity at Mercer County on Sunday

The Mason County Royals will play the Trinity Shamrocks in the Mingua Beef Jerky Classic presented by PrepSpin at Mercer County Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock.

It will be the second game of the event. Mercer County plays Anderson County in the first game at 2 p.m.

Admission is $5.

Mason County was originally scheduled to play Boyle County at Mercer County tonight, but that game was canceled, and the game against Trinity was added.

The last time Mason County played Trinity it was an instant classic with the Royals defeating the Shamrocks 66-59 in triple overtime in the quarterfinal round of the state tournament.
