The Bishop Brossart Lady 'Stangs and the George Rogers Clark Lady Cardinals were quarterfinal round winners in the 10th Region Tournament tonight at Nicholas County and will meet in a semifinal game Friday night.
After trailing by six points at the half, the Lady 'Stangs outscored the Bracken County Lady Bears 15-2 in the third quarter on their way to a 43-37 victory.
The Lady Cardinals led 31-0 at the end of the first quarter and cruised to a 70-33 win.
Pendleton County scored its first points with 6:50 left in the second quarter to trail 35-2.
GRC was up 55-19 at the half and 65-25 after three quarters.
Two more quarterfinal round games will be played Tuesday night: Nicholas County vs. Montgomery County at 6 p.m. and Mason County vs. Campbell County at 7:45 p.m.
