Robertson County senior Justin Becker has won the 10th Region Player of the Year award for the second straight year and Bracken County's Adam Reed is the 10th Region Coach of the Year in voting by media members in the region.
Becker is averaging 33.8 points and 12.3 rebounds a game. He has scored more than 3,000 points and grabbed more than 1,000 rebounds in his career. Becker has verbally committed to Thomas More University.
After an eight-win season last year, Reed has guided the Polar Bears to a 21-7 record so far this season. Bracken County won the 10th Region All "A" Classic and advanced to the quarterfinals of the state All "A" Classic.
The votes for Player of the Year and Coach of the Year were compiled by WFTM Sports Director Travis Scaggs.
(Updated to correct that Bracken County had an eight-win season last year, not a seven-win season.)
