The 10th Region Girls Basketball Coaches Asssociation has announced today that Bishop Brossart senior Marie Kiefer is the 10th Region Player of the Year and Montgomery County's Dustin High is the 10th Region Coach of the Year.
Kiefer, a 6-3 forward who has signed with Ball State University, is 12th in the state in scoring (21.6 ppg) and 14th in the state rebounding (12.1 rpg). She also averages 3.8 blocks a game and is a big reason why the Lady 'Stangs lead the state in team defense, allowing just 33.6 points per game. Kiefer grabbed her 1,000th career rebound last week.
High has guided Montgomery County to a 12-4 record.
