The Kentucky High School Athletic Association's Board of Control today voted 12-5 to allow basketball practice to resume on December 14 and to keep January 4 as the first date for games.
Those are the same dates approved by the Board of Control last month. Practice for winter sports has been shut down since 5 p.m. on November 20.
The Board of Control today voted 14-3 to hold the girls' and boys' state basketball tournaments March 29-April 8 at Rupp Arena.
KHSAA Commissioner Julian Tackett had recommended holding the tournaments from April 24-May 9. That motion was defeated by a 9-8 vote.
