The Kentucky High School Athletic Association is moving forward with the plan adopted in July for fall sports.
The association's Board of Control this morning voted against two options that would have further delayed the fall seasons.
Mandatory practice can begin next Monday with competition beginning the week of September 7.
The golf season began last month as scheduled.
The plan for the other fall sports is subject to approval by the Kentucky Department of Education, the Kentucky Department of Health and Governor Beshear.
In other action, the Board of Control approved the weekends of January 16 and 23 for cheer regionals and the weekend of February 13 for dance regionals, and approved a one-year waiver allowing basketball players to play on AAU teams until the start of school team practice.
