If the high school football season starts on time (and that's a big if) the Mason County Royals will play their first three games on the road.
The Royals' season opener is scheduled August 21st against the Russell Red Devils in Flatwoods.
Mason County will travel to Cynthiana on August 28th to play the Harrison County Thorobreds.
For the second straight season, the Royals will play in the Appalachian Bowl at Clay County. This year's opponent on September 4th will be Perry County Central.
The three straight road games will be followed by three straight games at home: September 11th vs. Grant County, September 18th against Lloyd Memorial and September 25th vs. Pendleton County.
The Royals will play the Fleming County Panthers in Flemingsburg on October 9th, host the Lewis County Lions on October 16th,
make their first trip to Powell County on October 23rd and close out the regular season on October 30th at Greenup County.
