The dead periods in both states were extended.

The moves come one day after governors in both states announced that in-person school was canceled for the rest of the academic year.

Five games of the the Mingua Beef Jerkey/KHSAA Girls' State Basketball Tournament had been played when the rest of the tournament was postponed on March 13. The Whitaker Bank/KHSAA Boys' State Basketball Tournament was scheduled to be played March 18-22.
