George Rogers Clark hosts boys' 10th Region Tournament for the first time since 1969

The boys' 10th Region Tournament got underway tonight at the new GRC Arena in Winchester. It's just the second time the tournament has been held at Clark County. The only other time was in 1969.

In tonight's games, the Bishop Brossart Mustangs defeated the Robertson County Black Devils 58-54 in overtime and the George Rogers Clark Cardinals routed the Augusta Panthers 81-41.

The lower bracket quarterfinal round games will be played Thursday night. The Mason County Royals play the Montgomery County Indians at 6 p.m. followed by the Campbell County Camels against the Pendleton County Wildcats.

The GRC Arena is as nice as advertised. The student cheering sections are located in the end zones. There are scoreboards in two corners of the arena. Two video boards are located in the other two corners. There are scoreboards for each side of the upper deck.
