Mason County ninth grader Paige Decker finished in 15th place in the Freshman Race at the Foot Locker South Regional Cross Country Championships in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday.
Decker ran the 5000 meter at McAlpine Greenway Park in 19:56.
Two other Mason County freshman ran in the race: Elizabeth Lavinder was 45th (21:01) and Alexis Decker was 98th (22:59).
Runners from 15 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands and U.S. Citizens in in overseas military installations competed in the South Regional.
