KHSAA Triple Threat Award winners and Academic All-State teams announced

Several local students received the "Triple Threat Award" from the Kentucky High School Athletic Association for the 2018-19 school year.

The award is given to student-athletes who participate in a KHSAA sport or sport-activity each season (fall/winter/spring) of the academic school year.

Local "Triple Threat Award" winners include:

St. Patrick
Allen Briseno, soccer, basketball and baseball
Cesar Briseno, soccer, basketball and baseball
Reese Burton, volleyball, cheerleading and softball
Libby Gallenstein, soccer, basketball and softball
Mercedes Hedgecock, volleyball, cheerleading and softball
Katie Hord, volleyball, soccer and cheerleading
Evan Kalb, soccer, golf and basketball
Logan Kalb, soccer, golf, basketball and baseball
Justina Klee, volleyball, soccer and basketball
Alain Lopez, soccer, basketball and baseball
Hannah Mason, volleyball, cheerleading and softball
Lizzie McKay, volleyball, basketball and softball
Anna Porter, cross country, soccer and cheerleading
Makenna Roush, volleyball, cheerleading and basketball
Jaclyn Stewart, volleyball and cheerleading
Natalie Wilson, soccer, cheerleading and softball

Mason County
Carson Brammer, football, basketball and baseball
Rachel Payne, soccer, basketball and track and field
AP Perry, soccer, basketball and track and field
Jake Swolsky, football, basketball and baseball
Haley White, golf, basketball, softball and tennis
Cole Wright, cross country, swimming and track and field

The KHSAA also announced its Academic All-State teams.

Mason County had 182 First-Team Honorees and 93 Honorable Mention Honorees.

Students maintaining a 3.75 cumulative average on a four-point scale are named to the First Team.

Students maintaining a 3.25 cumulative average on a four-point scale receive Honorable Mention recognition.
