Conrad and White win region championship

Mallory Conrad and Haley White of Mason County lived up to their No. 1 seeding in the 10th Region girls doubles tennis tournament by winning the region title Wednesday at Campbell County.

Conrad and White won 6-0, 6-0 in the semifinals and 6-0, 6-1 in the championship match. They only lost four games in the tournament.

Conrad and White will participate in the Top Seed Tennis Club/KHSAA State Championships in Lexington for the third straight year.

The Mason County Lady Royals were the region runners-up in the team standings.
