The Mason County Lady Royals outscored the Bishop Brossart Lady 'Stangs 17-10 in the fourth quarter for a 50-45 victory in the quarterfinal round of the 10th Region Tournament tonight at the Montgomery County High School Arena.
There were nine ties and 13 lead changes in the game.
Bishop Brossart led 35-33 at the end of the third quarter, but Mason County opened the fourth quarter with an 8-0 run and led the rest of the game. The Lady 'Stangs didn't score in the fourth quarter until the 1:42 mark.
The Lady Royals shot 9-of-13 (69.2 percent) from the field in the second half.
Emma Taylor led Mason County in scoring with 13 points. Victoria Brooks tossed in 10 points.
The Lady Royals will play the Harrison County Fillies in the semifinals Monday night. Harrison County defeated Bourbon County 66-44 in the opening game of the tournament.
