Royals flat in 66-50 loss to Paris

The Mason County Royals came out flat and were flattened by the Paris Greyhounds 66-50 tonight at The Fieldhouse.

Paris led by as many as 14 points in the second quarter.

Mason County closed to with five points at 40-35 in the third quarter, but Paris closed the third quarter on a 10-3 run and opened the fourth quarter on 14-3 run to lead 64-41.

The Royals did not make a field goal in the fourth quarter until the 1:16 mark.

Paris came into the game averaging 39.1 percent from the field and 19.9 percent on three-pointers, but tonight scorched the nets for 56.3 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Mason County shot 31 percent from the field, 35 percent on three-pointers and 41.2 percent on free throws.

Jaylen Lofton led the Royals in scoring with 13 points. Carson Brammer added 11 points.

Mason County plays at Boyd County Saturday night.
