Arn and White qualify for girls' state golf tournament

The Mason County Lady Royals failed to qualify for the state tournament, but Mason County juniors Charity Arn and Haley White shot 86s in the Region 8 tournament today at Longview Golf Club in Georgetown and qualified for state as individuals.

The Lady Royals finished third with a total of 401. Scott County won the region championship at 321 and George Rogers Clark finished second at 360. Scott County and GRC both qualified for the Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA Girls State Golf Tournament which will be played October 2nd and 3rd at Bowling Green Country Club.
