The Royals turned the ball over on their first two possessions and trailed 21-0 at halftime.
Rowan County opened the third quarter with a 13-play, 80-yard scoring drive that consumed nearly seven minutes and pushed the lead to 28-0.
Cole Wallace rushed for 109 yards and three touchdowns and Jacob McDaniel ran for 124 yards and two touchdowns.
Mason County quarterback Carson Brammer completed 12-of-22 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Mason County coach Jonathan Thomas said there were a lot of positives.
"A lot of young kids stepping in spots, you know, Xlon (Frey) and Jake (Swolsky) were good tonight; Carson was good tonight running for his life, "Thomas said.
He added: "We had some guys do some good things on the D-line."
Mason County (1-2) will host Morgan County next week on Homecoming.
