There were 11 ties and 17 lead changes through the first two and a half periods, but after a 50-50 tie, Bishop Brossart closed out the third period on a 13-4 run and opened the fourth period with a 16-7 run to lead 79-61 with 4:09 left.
The Mustangs scored 50 points in the second half.
Bishop Brossart shot 58.8 percent from the field in the second half and made numerous layups.
Mason County center Dalton Perkins left the game with an injury in the third quarter and did not return.
"Once Dalton went out, you know, we had no defensive stopper at the goal," Mason County coach Buddy Biggs said.
Bishop Brossart outscored Mason County by 13 points on free throws. The Mustangs were 22-of-27 for 81.5 percent, while the Royals hit just 9-of-20 for 45 percent.
Leevi Dunaway led Mason County in scoring with 14 points despite sitting out the final 6:57 of the second quarter after picking up his third foul.
Carson Brammer tossed in 12 points, Jeremiah Jones followed with 11 points and Malkolm Devine added 10 points.
Mason County will play the Augusta Panthers in the 39th District Tournament Monday night at The Fieldhouse.
