Clark Co. and Campbell Co. post wins, will meet in semis

The top two teams in the 10th Region- the Clark County Cardinals and the Campbell County Camels- will meet in the semifinals of the regional tournament Monday night after posting quarterfinal round victories tonight at The Fieldhouse.

Clark County defeated the Bracken County Polar Bears 72-51 and Campbell County beat the Harrison County Thorobreds 70-60.

Clark County led by 19 points at the half and had a 23-point lead in the third quarter. 

Bracken County used a 16-2 run to close to within  49-40 with 1:30 left in the quarter, but could get no closer.

The Cardinals ended the third quarter on a 6-2 run and outscored the Polar Bears 17-9 in the fourth quarter.

Brennan Canada scored a game-high 22 points for Clark County.

In the second game, Campbell County led by as many as 15 points in the second quarter,

Harrison County cut the deficit to six at 66-60 in the closing minute and had the ball, but couldn't score. 

The Camels hit four free throws to seal the win.

Campbell County junior Reid Jolly had a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds.

Bracken County senior Trey Deaton and Harrison County junior Quenton Turley were named to the All-Tournament Team.
