Mason Co. finishes fourth in boys Region 8 golf tournament, fails to qualify for state

The Mason County Royals finished in fourth place in the Region 8 golf tournament today at Houston Oaks Golf Course. Only the top teams qualify for the state tournament.

Grant County won the region with a team score of 326. Highlands was the runner-up with a 344 total.

Mason County had a team score of  366.

Senior Bryan Walton led the Royals with an 84 but lost in a playoff for the last individual qualifying spot for the state tournament.

Fleming County senior Jordan Hughes is an individual qualifier for state with a 79.
