4th quarter run propels Royals to a 75-66 win over Bishop Brossart

After falling behind by five points in the opening minute of the fourth quarter, the Mason County Royals reeled off 12 straight points on their way to a 75-66 win over the Bishop Brossart Mustangs in their final game of the regular season tonight at the Fieldhouse.

Mason County had a seven-point lead at the half and was up eight at 39-31 early in the third quarter.

Bishop Brossart chipped away at the lead and tied the game at 48-48 by ending the third quarter on a 5-0 run.

The Mustangs scored the first five points of the fourth quarter,

Mason County sped up the pace and turned a 53-48 deficit into a 60-53 lead in  a two and a half minute span. 

The Royals made 8-of-9 free throws in the fourth quarter and evened their record at 15-15.

Leevi Dunaway scored 11 of his game 27 points in the fourth quarter.

Ty Fox had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds,

Jaylen Lofton added 14 points.

Mason County will host the Augusta Panthers in the semifinals of the 39th District Tournament Monday night.
