Dunaway and Lofton combine for 48 points in Royals' 69-58 win over Boyle County

Leevi Dunaway and Jaylen Lofton combined for 48 points to lead the Mason County Royals to a 69-58 victory over the Boyle County Rebels tonight in the quarterfinal round of the Gateway Holiday Classic at Montgomery County.

Dunaway scored 11 of his game-high 27 points in the third quarter.

Lofton scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half.

After trailing by three points at halftime, the Royals scored as many points in the third quarter as they did in the first half.

Isaiah Garrison sat out due to an ankle injury.

Mason County will play the Montgomery County Indians in the semifinals Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
