Woodford County led by eight at halftime and scored the first two points to the third quarter to lead 33-23, but Mason County closed out the quarter on a 21-7 run.
The Royals were up 57-49 with 2:48 left in the game, but the Yellow Jackets went on a 9-2 run to get to within a point. Garrison hit the front end of the one-and-one, missed the bonus free throw, got the rebound, made a layup and was fouled. He missed the free throw, but the rebound was tipped to Antwavon "Pig" Williams who was fouled. He made both free throws. Garrison scored on a layup to give the Royals a 66-58 lead with 41 seconds to play. Mason County has won three straight games.
Garrison scored seven points in the fourth quarter. Williams scored nine of his 21 points in the fourth quarter.
Mason County will play the Bracken County Polar Bears in Brooksville Tuesday night.
