Piper Lindsey was fired Friday after four seasons as the girls basketball coach at Mason County. Lindsey had a 75-53 record. This past season, she guided the Lady Royals to their first trip to the state tournament since 1987. Mason County advanced to the semifinals of the Houchens Industries/KHSAA Girls Sweet 16 with wins over Muhlenberg County and Johnson Central. The Lady Royals lost to Allen County-Scottville in the semifinals. Lindsey's Mason County teams won district titles in 2013 and 2015.
