Royals beat Grant County 66-44

The Mason County Royals used their height advantage to beat the Grant County Braves 66-44 this afternoon at Grant County. The Braves don't have players taller than 6-1. Mason County's 6-9 senior forward Treg Setty scored 26 points (12 in the first quarter) and grabbed 13 rebounds. 6-2 junior Tyler Black had 11 points and 15 rebounds. Mason County had 14 assists and attempted just seven three-pointers. The Royals outscored the Braves 11-3 in the second quarter to lead 27-13 at the half, and scored the first two points of the third quarter. Grant County cut the deficit to 10 at 36-26. Mason County answered by scoring 13 consecutive points. The Royals led by as many as 25 in the fourth quarter. Jordan Gilbert added 10 points for Mason County. The Royals host Montgomery County Tuesday night.
