Tonight's Elite Eight game in the NCAA Tournament between Kentucky and West Virginia will be the third time UK forward Darius Miller and West Virginia forward Kevin Jones have played against each other. Both players had big games when their high school teams met in the Iolani Prep Classic in Hawaii in 2007. Miller scored 23 points to lead the Mason County Royals to a 73-69 win over Mt. Vernon, NY. Jones scored a game-high 36 points for Mt. Vernon. They met again last season as college players. Kentucky beat West Virginia 54-43 in the Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Invitational. Miller was scoreless, but had six rebounds and three assists for the Wildcats. Jones had four points and two rebounds for the Mountaineers. Both players are starters this season. Miller is averaging 6.6 points a game. He scored a career-high 20 points in the Kentucky's second round win over Wake Forest. Miller is also playing stellar defense. Jones is averaging 13.7 points and 7.2 rebounds a game for the Mountaineers. He scored 18 points in West Virginia's win over Washington Thursday night. Either player could be a key in tonight's game. The winner advances to the Final Four.
