Mason Co. and Pendleton Co. advance, will meet in semis

The Mason County Royals and the Pendleton County Wildcats were first round winners in the 10th Region Tournament tonight at The Fieldhouse and will meet in the semifinal round Saturday night.
Mason County ended the game on an 18-8 run to beat the Bishop Brossart Mustangs. Pendleton County outscored the Montgomery County Indians 24-12 in the fourth quarter for a 62-49 win.
There were eight ties and eight lead changes in the Mason County-Brossart game. The Mustangs led 38-33 in the third quarter. The Royals went on a 9-0 run to take the lead for good. Treg Setty led Mason County in scoring with 16 points. Jordan Gilbert added 12 points. Mason County and Pendleton County will meet in the second semifinal Saturday at 8:30 p.m. It's Clark County vs. Scott in the upper bracket semifinal at 5 p.m. The Fieldhouse will be cleared between games. Admission to each game is $5.
