The Mason County Lady Royals rallied to beat the Scott Lady Eagles 70-67 in their home opener tonight. Scott jumped out to an 8-0 lead and was up 42-32 in the third quarter. The Lady Royals cut the deficit to two at the end of the third quarter and outscored the Lady Eagles 22-17 in the fourth quarter. Keller Menke led Mason County in scoring with 22 points. Katelyn Smith (photo) followed with 16 points and Beth Queen added 14 points. Queen's three-pointer gave Mason County its first lead at 62-61. Scott junior center Lauren Tibbs scored 34 points.
