Lady Royals are No. 12 in first track and field rankings of the season

The Mason County Lady Royals are No. 12 in the KyTrackXC.com Class AA rankings. This is the first week of the rankings. Several Mason County athletes are ranked in their respective events:

• Iretta Carpenter, 3rd in the girls' 100 meter hurdles and 5th in the girls' 300 meter hurdles
• Madison Paver, 4th in the girls' 100 meter hurdles
• Sierra McDaniel, 7th in the girls' 100 meter dash
• Seth Adkins, 4th in the boys' 200 meter dash

The girls' 4x100 meter relay team of Sarah Anderson, Katie Redmond, Andreanna Bennett and Madison Paver is ranked 7th, and the girls' 4x800 meter relay team of Valerie Rice, Julia Woods, Raylee Kirkland and Sarah Bellingham is ranked 8th.
