Lady Royals 2nd, Royals 4th in Area 7 Championships

The Mason County Lady Royals finished second and the Royals took fourth place in the Area 7 Championships Tuesday at Greenup County. First place finishes by Mason County athletes include:

• Sierra McDaniel, girls' 100 meter dash (13.80) and girls' 200 meter dash (28.37);
• Ashley Deatley, girls' 400 meter dash (1:04.60);
• Valerie Rice, girls' 800 meter run (2:35.20);
• Malcolm Jones, boys' 100 meter dash (11.92);
• The girls' 400x100 meter relay team of Andreana Bennett, Sierra McDaniel, Katie Redmond and Madison Paver (55.32);
• The boys' 4x100 meter relay team of Akeem Jackson, Terrance Breckenridge, Brandon Jackson and Malcolm Jones (45.64);
• the boys' 4x200 meter relay team of Colt Fearis, Terrance Breckenridge, Josh Harris and Westin Stahl (1:33.45);
