Middleton Player of the Year, O'Hearn Coach of the Year in 10th Region

Mason County senior Russ Middleton has been named 10th Region Player of the Year, and Mason County Coach Chris O'Hearn has been named 10th Region Coach of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches. Middleton is averaging 15.9 points a game this season. O'Hearn has guided the Royals to a 24-6 record and their second consecutive 10th Region title. Former Mason County players Allen Feldhaus Junior and Willie Feldhaus were named Coach of the Year in their respective regions. Allen Junior, who guided Madison Central to a 19-12 record is the 11th Region Coach of the Year. Willie was named the 4th Region Coach of the year after his Russell County Lakers went 23-7 and upset Warren Central in the first round of the regional tournament. The award winners will be recognized at halftime of the second quarterfinal game of the National City/KHSAA Boys' Sweet 16 Friday afternoon.
