Day one at the National City/KHSAA Boys' Sweet 16

West Jessamine, Grayson County, Central and Eastern posted wins on the opening day of the National City/KHSAA Boys' Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena. West Jessamine trailed 39-28 in the third quarter, but ended the game with a 23-1 run to beat Hazard 51-40. Grayson County defeated Adair County 45-33. Central edged Graves County 53-51 in the best game of the day, and Eastern improved to 31-2 with a 75-61 victory over Corbin. First round action continues Thursday. Here is the schedule:

12 p.m. Lexington Catholic (25-7) vs. Bowling Green (26-6)
1:30 p.m. Holmes (32-2) vs. Christian County (21-6)
6:30 p.m. Mason County (24-6) vs. Shelby Valley (30-4)
8:00 p.m. Anderson County (24-5) vs. Elliott County (30-2)
