Clark County Sophomore Robbie Stenzel made three free throws with no time left to give the Cardinals a 56-55 win over the Mason County Royals tonight at Clark County. It was the fifth lead change of the game. Russ Middleton made two foul shots to put Mason County up 55-53 with 4.5 seconds to play. A foul was called a split second before the buzzer as Stenzel shot a desperation three point shot. Stenzel calmly sank all three free throws. Mason County led by 10 points early in the fourth quarter. Stenzel scored 15 of his game-high 30 points in the fourth quarter. He was 10-of-10 from the free throw line in the game. Middleton scored 17 points and moved into sole possession of sixth place on the Royals' all-time scoring list. The loss snapped Mason County's 19 game winning streak against 10th Region teams. The Royals host Fleming County Sunday afternoon.
