
For the second straight year, Zach Butler of Lexington pulled away from the field in the final round to win the Junior Chippeways at the Maysville Country Club. Last year, Butler won by five shots. Today, he won the 40th Junior Chippeways by eight shots. Butler, a senior-to-be at Paul Dunbar High School, began the day three shots off the lead. He shot a 1-under-par 71 in the second round this morning to take a two-shot lead. Butler fired a three-under 69 in the final round this afternoon for a three-round total of 3-under 213. Justin Lawler of West Union finished second at 221. First round leader and tournament medalist Ryan Hines of Portsmouth, Ohio finished third at 229. Russell Rigg of Maysville tied for sixth at 231.
